Due to inclement weather, the Štefan Banič 6-Way Speed Star Event has been rescheduled to be held in conjunction with Casino Night at Skydive Dallas, Saturday, October 4th. Please mark your calendars to join us… a portion of the proceeds from both events will benefit the Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame.
The Štefan Banič 6-Way Speed Star Event is a three-round competition from Twin Otters. The event will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Štefan Banič's development of a parachute. A raffle will be held in conjunction with the event for an entire free day of skydiving with all proceeds going to the Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame.
The Štefan Banič Parachute Foundation was established in 1997 by Slavo Mulik of Coppell, Texas, to recognize and honor those who have made significant contributions and/or achievements in skydiving. The foundation commemorates the early parachute work of Štefan Banič1870-1941. Banič donated his patent rights and the invention to the U.S. government. The Banič foundation's goal is to enhance and promote sport parachuting and encourages financial support of the Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame.
