Stephen Salisbury

Stephen Salisbury served two and a half years with the 82nd Airborne Division before being assigned to the United States Army Parachute Team (Golden Knights). During his time with the USAPT, he served as a demonstrator and was an original member of both the 4-way and 8-way formation teams. In 1978, he and his teammates won both the U.S. National and World Cup Championships in 8-way formation.

Stephen has made more than 2,100 jumps, with his final jump taking place on his birthday in 2020. He spent more than 40 years as a general contractor and has been married to his wife, Mary Beth, for 51 years.

Stephen is a Museum Ambassador and currently is a member of the Museum’s Facilities Committee.
