-
One member of the United States Parachute Association (USPA) board of directors (not also a Museum trustee) selected by that organization’s governing body.
-
One member of the Parachute Industry Association’s (PIA) governing body (not also a Museum trustee) selected by that organization’s governing body.

The Selection Committee chair shall determine the members of the Selection Committee and advise the Skydiving Museum board by November 30.
Selection Procedures
Inductees will be selected by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee and ratified by the International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame Board of Trustees.
-
The Committee meets annually; the meeting is closed to the public.
-
Only members of the Committee can vote on waivers to the Committee’s standard operating procedure.
-
Three weeks prior to the meeting, the Museum Administrator ensures all completed nominations submitted by November 30 are available for Committee review.
-
Two weeks prior to the meeting, all Committee members propose up to 5 names from the list of nominees for consideration for induction into the Hall of Fame. No current Trustee or voting member of the Committee is eligible for HOF consideration.
-
After discussion, Committee members vote for 9 candidates, with the votes tabulated as follows:
- 3 candidates receive 3 votes
- 3 candidates receive 2 votes
- 3 candidates receive 1 vote
The Chair will rank list the candidates by their vote totals.
-
Discussion starts with the candidates receiving the most votes. If no major objections or new information is brought forth, the candidate is voted on for final acceptance into the Hall of Fame. If new information needs review, the candidate is removed from consideration and held until the following year.
-
In the event of a tie or ties for final spots, the Committee votes until the tie(s) are broken. The Committee may select no more than 5 nominees (unless approved by the full Board) or less than 1 from the list. Initial straw polling may be used by the Chair to ensure thorough consideration of all candidates.
Awards
Each inductee receives a plaque, a Hall of Fame blazer, and a name tag with the inductee’s name and class year. Inductees are also suitably recognized in a permanent Hall of Fame gallery in the International Skydiving Museum.
Induction Ceremony
Each year, the International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame recognizes the year’s inductees during a dinner at the Annual Celebration Event.
The International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame Board of Trustees and the Nominating Committee of the International Skydiving Hall of Fame reserves the right to revoke, alter or amend these rules at any time.
