We are pleased to announce two very special events at this year’s Weekend Celebration in Raeford, North Carolina, October 9th – 12th…

Tom Sanders, who produced directed, and filmed  “Over the Edge,” a movie about skydiving, BASE jumping and hang-gliding, will host a Video Presentation and Signing on Friday, October 10, from 2:30 p.m.- 4 p.m. and Saturday, October 11, from 2 – 3:30 p.m.

Please join us for a viewing of the movie, participate in a Q&A session with Tom, and purchase a signed copy of the “Over the Edge” DVD.  Tom’s resume of projects involving the stunt coordination and filming of skydiving, BASE jumping and hang-gliding has taken him all around the world. His work has been featured in four James Bond movie sequences, Point Break starring Patrick Swayzee and Mountain Dew commercials. Tom was in charge of the free fall camera team during the skydiving exhibition at the Opening Ceremonies of the 1988 Seoul Olympics, was in charge of filming two skydives with George H.W. Bush and the world record skydiving jumps in Thailand, Russia and Bratislava. Tom was awarded the Gold Medal for Meritorious Service from USPA “for over a quarter of a century of promoting skydiving and the USPA in general through his photography and cinematography seen worldwide.” The cost for the DVD is $20 and the Blu-Ray is $25.All proceeds from the DVD sales will go to benefit the museum.

Dan “BC” Brodsky-Chenfeld, Hall of Fame inductee, founding member of Arizona Airspeed, formation skydiving pioneer and world champion, motivational speaker and author, will be available during our weekend celebration, Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11, from noon – 1 p.m. to sign copies of his book, “Above All Else.”

Twelve years into his career, Dan BC survived a plane crash that killed 16 of the 22 people on board.  Told by a doctor he would never skydive again, he recovered and went on to lead the US 4-way and 8-way FS teams to multiple world championships. Dan’s extraordinary talent for bringing out the best in others has made him one of the most influential people in the sport of skydiving and one of the most sought after coaches in the world.  The cost of the book is $25 with proceeds from the book sales benefitting the museum.  Special thanks to Pat Thomas for the donation of books.
